International hotline services.
Meeting clients' needs globally.
For international toll-free connectivity, Report it utilizes USA direct access.
Through USA Direct dialing, employees from around the world connect to Report it using the
same toll free number as employees here in the states.
Here’s how it works.
- + Employees overseas dial their USA Direct country code number (provided by Report it)
- + the area code (877)
- + the number (provided by Report it)
It’s that simple.
If a language barrier exists, Report it provides (OPI), Over the Phone Interpretation. Report it
conferences a language interpreter into the call (“on-the-fly-translation”). This enables us to
swiftly assist callers and provide our clients with accurate and timely information in English.
With OPI, an interpreter listens to your limited English speaking caller and via three-way
conference, conveys its meaning to the Report it operator. Professionally trained and tested
interpreters do not interpret word-for-word, but meaning-for-meaning. This is why you might
notice that non-English conversations can seem to take longer. Many English concepts that are
communicated in one or two words can take several phrases to accurately describe in another
language, and vice versa.
The Report it operator then inputs this data directly into the Report it system in English,
eliminating the need to for costly and timely document translations, and it is immediately
dispatched to your designated recipient.
Understanding the difference between language interpretation and translation which are often
used interchangeably, by strict definition, interpretation refers to the spoken language, and
translation (as in Document Translation) to the written language.
International/Global Solutions that work!
Report it provides interpretation on-the-fly.
The process:
- + The Call
Callers (anonymous reporters), call a toll free phone number dedicated to their region. For example,
an employee in Japan will call a toll free number dedicated for Japan.
- + Answering the Call
When a call is placed, the caller is greeted with the below voice message in his/her own language:
“You have reached the Report it hotline. Please stay on the line while we connect you with a
{i.e. Japanese} language interpreter and a Report it operator.
This will take just a moment. You must have your organization's name, or username
and password available to process your anonymous report. Please remain on the line.
Thank you.”
- + Interpretation & Information Collection
The Caller, a professionally trained Report it Operator and the Interpreter are all connected. The
Report it operator will direct the interpreter to ask the questions specified by your company. The
interpreter relays the question to the anonymous caller in his or her native language, then provides
the response to the questions back to the Report it operator. The responses are captured and
documented by the Report it operator.
- + The Solution
Once the call is completed, the Report it operator submits the report. Your designated recipients
are immediately notified of the new report submitted and have access to the report, in English.
